About Penny Kidd

Penny’s passion for yoga began 20 years ago when she attended classes with Eve Grzybowski of Simply Yoga. She trained with Mark Breadner of Yoga Coach in 2010 and again in 2014, completing 500 hours in Bali.With a young daughter of her own Penny decided the benefits of yoga should be shared with the next generation. She did further study with Karma Kids, Zenergy, Rainbow Kids and Yoga Bugs and began running her own classes for primary school age children in 2011.Penny teaches from a beautiful airy studio at West Street Wellbeing, North Sydney. Her classes include yoga for children, yoga for teenagers and Hatha yoga for adults. Penny has also created ‘Yin-fusion’ yoga, a restorative Yin style yoga for ultimate relaxation. Flexibility, strength and balance in body, mind and spirit is the intention. The union of this connection IS yoga. Penny believes yoga is for every BODY. There are no limits, only the limits are those we put on ourselves.

Penny Kidd Yoga for Children

Penny’s background in the performing arts promises creativity in the space. Her connection with kids comes naturally and she creates a safe space for kids to open up and be themselves. She encourages students to connect with their true essence and find their unique gifts and talents. She has witnessed positive change in attitude and behavior and an increase in focus and confidence, with many of the kids still attending her classes after several years as a lifestyle choice.

Penny Kidd Hatha Yoga for Adults

Penny teaches adult Hatha yoga in both studio and corporate spaces & encourages students to listen to their own bodies, find their edge and work at their own pace. The uncompetitive nature of the practice means that all students develop their own rhythm and bring to the mat whatever feels right for them on the day.Penny will assist with alignment and offer adjustments in poses for beginners and invites experienced students to go deeper into poses. Her love of singing, Kirtan and Bhakti Yoga allows her to delve deeper in to the spiritual side of the practice attending chant circles and retreats with like minded Yogi’s, immersing herself with ‘feel good’ vibrations, positive energy and good company.Penny believes that regular practice and commitment both on and off the mat is the key to healing and transformation. When we rid ourselves of the obstacles whether physical, mental or emotional we learn to release, breathe and let go of that which no longer serves us, creating space for new possibilities. 

Penny Kidd Yin Yoga for Adults

Penny teaches adult restorative yoga for ultimate relaxation. She encourages students to listen to their own bodies and go at their own pace. The uncompetitive nature of Penny’s practice means that all students bring to the mat whatever feels right for them on the day.Penny’s own ‘Yinfusion’ style of restorative yoga allows students to come ‘back home’ to themselves ..to be ‘awakened’ by keeping attention inward and creating stillness of mind. There will be relaxation of physical body, a space to be held, coming back to ‘being-ness’, a ‘connection to spirit/inner guidance’ and back to the heart centre, creating a sense of being at one with all & the Universe.
